ABOUT EXICOM ABOUT US - Where is Porirua? Porirua is located just north of New Zealand's capital city, Wellington. The region is home to many hi-tech industries and has the support of proactive local and national government. How long has Exicom been manufacturing radios? Exicom Limited has been in existence since 2010. However, its heritage as a company dates back to 1913, when AWA was formed to produce marine based radio communication solutions. Rural Radio design and manufacture has been located at our Porirua premises since the mid 70's.
