RS232 ASYNCHRONOUS INTERFACE

An additional six channel interface module can be fitted to a six-Channel EX7100 to provide multi-channel Asynchronous RS232 data transfer.

Typical applications include remote alarm monitoring, SCADA /telemetry communication or other point-to-point data transfer.

• Asynchronous RS232 operation is software-selectable on any or all of the six channels. (Normal voice/fax/modem data operation remains unaffected on any non-RS232 channels)

• The module provides an EIA/TIA 232E compliant interface for connection at data rates of 9600, 4800, 2400, 1200, 600, 300, 150 or 75 bps. (Data rates are determined by the externally-connected equipment)
